[part 1] [part 2]
The Kingpin has disappeared and all the major New York gang leaders - the Rose, Hammerhead, Silvermane, Hobgoblin and Jack O'Lantern - draws the attention of the Punisher. Not wanting to get caught in the crossfire, Spider-Man desperately tries not to get involved. But when the Punisher starts killing gangsters in the street, it leaves him with little choice. And if Betty Leeds didn't have enough problems with her psycho husband, Ned Leeds, she comes home to find Flash Thompson - the #1 Hobgoblin suspect - hiding out in her apartment.
Gangs start teaming up against each other with Spider-Man caught in the middle. His attempt to subdue the Punisher fails, big time. Ned Leeds begins investigating Cold War criminals...
The Rose seems to be trying to take down his father, the Kingpin, while maintaining his integrity. When a meeting of crimelords turns sour and the NYPD turn up, the Rose is forced to shoot an innocent young cop to escape.
The gang war continues and the bullets fly throughout New York, but Spider-man is drawn away in order to confront Blaze with the help of the Black Cat in her horrific new costume. After he's defeated and taken into custody, Blaze is murdered by the Foreigner.
